♥ My Year In Globaloria! ♥

Some of my accomplishments this year was my team game that was actually working and submitted to the Globey's. Also that I learned so much from my peers and it will help me in my future years in globaloria. Globaloria was a learning and fun experience this year.
Last year I was not as good in Flash or on the wiki as this year. I m so proud of our team game because last year our game didn't even work. It was also submitted to the Globey's which is a huge accomplishment for this year! I am so glad I learned so much more in this subject because I see that this class will help me a lot in my future. I have also noticed that I use new and more advanced words in my games or even in my blog posts. I am happy with my accomplishments and hope I gain more knowledge next year.

Current Event 4.19.13

This article was about the two identified bombers from the Boston Marathon Bombing. It talked about the two Chechen immigrants and how the bomb was created and that when they identified the items in the bomb the knew the bombers were from over seas. They also mentioned that one of the bombers was killed during a early shoot out today. Which means that this article was posted early this morning.

This is the website I found my article from.

Play To Learn Part 2

Play to learn part 2 was really fun because I got to play lot's of games and could learn many things for each game. I liked Flood Rescue and Me Tycoon the most! My least favorite game was Treadsylvania because it was very confusing and I got bored easily. Play to learn part 2 was very fun!

Play Station 4

I think the play station 4 is a good idea. I like how modern they made the system and the new controllers they added. I also like how they are leaving the final product from the publics eyes until the game system comes out.

Black History Month Game Jackie Robinson

This is a game that I designed to celebrate the life of Jackie Robinson. This person is an important part of history because he was the first African American to play in Major League Baseball(MLB).

To play the game you must click on the bases which were some positions he played and learn some facts. You also click on the baseball and bat also the MLB sign to learn more facts.

Present Your Hidden Object Game

  • The Big Idea: Describe your learning topic for the game. What is the most important thing you want your players to learn?
The learning topic for my game is how to have a healthy diet to stay away from obesity.
  • Research: What kind of research did you do? What did you learn about your topic?
I researched my topic on the internet in many websites. I learned that this is a big problem in America and the majority that are obese are the minorities.
  • Making Decisions: How did your ideas change as you worked on your game?
My idea of the foods changed because, I found them to be really hard to draw! But many of my ideas stayed the same.
  • Mastering Programming: What Game Ingredients and Help Center resources have been most useful to you so far, and why?
I think the suggestions in the projects page helped me the most!
  • Overcoming Challenges: Which part of making the game was most difficult for you? How did you overcome this difficulty? What features are you most proud of in your game
This most difficult section of the game was add game ingredients. I overcame my problem by asking the teacher or my partner. I am most proud the the food items in my game that I hand drew.

Add Game Ingredients

Adding game ingredients was the hardest section of the whole game making process. I added a message box and a scoring box for my easy game ingredients. The message box was some what difficult but after I got the hang of it, it was way easier! The score was very easy to program and make it work. For the medium game ingredient I added the lose points for the wrong item clicked. This ingredient was way more difficult than the others but I got help from my partner and got it to work.
