Present Your Hidden Object Game

  • The Big Idea: Describe your learning topic for the game. What is the most important thing you want your players to learn?
The learning topic for my game is how to have a healthy diet to stay away from obesity.
  • Research: What kind of research did you do? What did you learn about your topic?
I researched my topic on the internet in many websites. I learned that this is a big problem in America and the majority that are obese are the minorities.
  • Making Decisions: How did your ideas change as you worked on your game?
My idea of the foods changed because, I found them to be really hard to draw! But many of my ideas stayed the same.
  • Mastering Programming: What Game Ingredients and Help Center resources have been most useful to you so far, and why?
I think the suggestions in the projects page helped me the most!
  • Overcoming Challenges: Which part of making the game was most difficult for you? How did you overcome this difficulty? What features are you most proud of in your game
This most difficult section of the game was add game ingredients. I overcame my problem by asking the teacher or my partner. I am most proud the the food items in my game that I hand drew.

Add Game Ingredients

Adding game ingredients was the hardest section of the whole game making process. I added a message box and a scoring box for my easy game ingredients. The message box was some what difficult but after I got the hang of it, it was way easier! The score was very easy to program and make it work. For the medium game ingredient I added the lose points for the wrong item clicked. This ingredient was way more difficult than the others but I got help from my partner and got it to work.
